Tarifa is a Spanish municipality in the province of Cádiz, Andalusia. Within the town centre lies the Punta de Tarifa, a geographical feature located on the Island of Las Palomas, which is now connected to the city itself by a road-street that provides access to the lighthouse located there.
Valdevaqueros Beach
Hotel Copacabana in Tarifa is situated right in front of Valdevaqueros beach, the world mecca of Kitesurfing, which features several beach bars (chiringuitos) and schools for Wind, Kite, and Stand Up Paddle Surf. The westernmost area of the beach is occupied by an extensive dune formed during the 1940s.
Tarifa Old Town
Getting lost in its white streets is like travelling back in time. Medieval walls, historic churches, small squares, and the most authentic Andalusian atmosphere. Perfect for an afternoon of tapas and wandering through the alleys.
Valdevaqueros and Bolonia Dunes
A landscape from another planet. These shifting dunes and the virgin beach of Bolonia, with the Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia in the background, form one of the wildest and most photogenic sights on the entire coast.
Alcornocales Natural Park
Trade the sea breeze for the silence of a magical forest. Just a few minutes away, you can enter one of the largest cork oak forests in the world, ideal for hiking trails, birdwatching, and connecting with nature in its purest form.
